Robert Capritti

Bob has been directly involved in the evaluation, negotiation and settlement of thousands of personal injury cases over the past 18 years, including 13 years as a Claims Manager at the Center for Claims Resolution. Throughout his career, Bob has interacted with plaintiff firms, special masters and judges nationwide to resolve and administer asbestos personal injury claims. Bob has extensive knowledge of the medical and product liability issues central to toxic tort litigation and asbestos claims in particular.

While at the CCR, Bob was instrumental in developing and implementing claims processing and evaluation procedures for the Georgine Class Action settlement - among the largest personal injury class action ever settled.

Prior to his involvement in asbestos personal injury litigation, Bob was employed as a medical researcher and worked for several years with a prominent New Jersey law firm. Bob has served in the capacity of a medical expert in mock trials at Rutgers University School of Law. Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Villanova University.

Mark Eveland

Mark has over 12 years experience in operations, data and document management, and reporting specifically related to mass tort and class action claims.

Mark began his career with a large consulting firm, assisting clients involved in asbestos, breast implant, and other product liability, workers compensation, and insurance litigation matters. He joined the CCR in 1997 where he served as the operations manager responsible for claims processing from filing through closure. Throughout his tenure at the CCR, Mark was also deeply involved in all aspects of reporting and analysis, presentation of indemnity and expense bills to insurance carriers, and preparation of insurance consumption analyses to support coverage counsel in pursuit of recoveries from carriers.

Since 2001, Mark has provided consulting services to a number of companies, advising them on administrative procedures and technology implementations. He has managed notice campaigns, opt-outs, and claims processing for several class action settlements, including personal injury, securities fraud, consumer fraud, and wage & hour cases.

During the course of his career, Mark has been instrumental in the design, development and implementation of three successive generations of claims administration applications. Most recently, he designed the proprietary web-based application deployed by Verus to service our diverse client base. Mark graduated from Pennsylvania State University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History.

Joe Genova

Joe currently manages asbestos claims for a number of defendants - including a Fortune 100 company - on a national basis. In addition to claims negotiation, Joe is closely involved in all aspects of claims management, including strategic planning, budgeting and future projections for his clients.

Joe successfully negotiated thousands of asbestos personal injury claims on behalf of multiple defendants while employed by the Center for Claims Resolution (CCR) from its inception in 1988 through 2001. During this time Joe had extensive experience interacting with national and local plaintiff counsel, mediators, judges and special masters in various jurisdictions across the country.

Before joining CCR, Joe worked for Continental Insurance Company performing various aspects of claims analysis and resolution for both toxic tort and pollution claims. In total, Joe has over 18 years experience in claims handling. Joe graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

Kevin Guers

Kevin is currently responsible for the resolution of asbestos personal injury claims for several asbestos defendants on a national, regional and local level.

Kevin has over twenty years of claim handling experience. He has specialized in the administration of asbestos personal injury claims as a Claims Manager for the Asbestos Claims Facility (ACF) and the Center for Claims Resolution (CCR). While with the CCR, his duties included management of all claims submitted under the Georgine Class Action.

Over his career, Kevin has resolved well over 100,000 personal injury claims on behalf of 36 defendants. He has lectured on the subject of asbestos claim management at numerous national seminars.

Prior to his employment at the Asbestos Claims Facility, Kevin was a Commercial Litigation Claim Manager for American International Adjustment Co. located in Wayne, PA. Kevin graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia with a B.S. in Accounting.

Morten Iversen

Since 1994, Morten has been involved in the design, implementation and management of mass tort litigation systems at the CCR and as an independent consultant. He has over 18 years of software development and Information Technology management experience.

Over the last eleven years, Morten has served as the key architect behind several mass tort litigation management systems, including the Georgine Class Action System and a system currently in use with several large Fortune 500 companies. Morten was the lead system architect for development of the Legal Cost Management System for the CCR, and has also assisted clients with implementation of third-party legal invoicing applications. He has extensive experience with data mapping and conversion projects, as well as cross-platform integrations. Morten also has expertise in data center management, data warehousing, and document management systems. For the past three and a half years, Morten has consulted extensively with the Legal Division of a large Fortune 100 company, where he was instrumental in establishing a claims handling group to administer all of this client’s asbestos claims. He also assisted with data conversions, reporting, and other non-asbestos matter management solutions.

Earlier in his career, Morten consulted for a number of large international energy companies. He graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Computer Science.
 

Daniel P. Myer

Dan has provided asbestos claims handling and claims management services to a wide array of clients, including various asbestos defendants, bankrupt corporations, and law firms nationwide. He has been involved in settlement negotiations with numerous law firms, special masters and judges across the country.

Dan served for 13 years as the Director of Claims at the Center for Claims Resolution (CCR), where his responsibilities included administration of claim handling policies and procedures, preparation and implementation of the appropriate jurisdictional strategy plans, and development of annual operating budgets and indemnity cost projections. He was also involved in the formation of the Asbestos Claims Facility, playing an integral role in implementing settlement and negotiation policies and procedures in the newly formed organization.

Earlier in his career, Dan was employed at Continental Insurance Company in their Environmental Claim Department as a Senior Analyst, Supervisor and Claim Manager. The Environmental Claim Department was responsible for the uniform application of Continental Insurance Company's coverage philosophy on environmental claim-related issues.

Dan has been appointed as a Trustee of qualified settlement trusts and as an Escrow Agent for complex settlement funds involving multiple defendants and multiple plaintiff law firms. Dan has served as an expert witness in the area of asbestos claim handling in both arbitrations and litigation. He is a widely recognized speaker at national asbestos-related seminars for the legal and insurance professions, and holds a B.S. in Public Administration (Business) from William Patterson University.
